Portraits From the Road
Here are a collection a portraits I took from the road this month. I traveled with my friends Brendan Donnelly and Ivan Berko from New York City to California. Brendan was moving to Los Angeles after a long stint in NYC, and I'm never one to turn down a road trip so I subletted my apartment and packed my bags.

I took this portrait of Brendan in his empty apartment. He lived there for almost six years, I crashed on his kitchen floor when I first moved to New York.

This is rasta skeleton, we brought him on the road with us. We figured it might come in handy for the car pool lane.

Elizabeth and I helped Brendan unload his old silkscreens into his parent's garage, this portrait was taken in hallway there.

Ivan having a morning shave in a Best Western outside of Chicago.

Mysterious smoking truck on the freeway in the Midwest.

Brendan; just outside of the Badlands.

Coffee at the truck stop outside of Sturges.

By coincidence we ended up at Mount Rushmore on Sept. 11th.

These creepy goats are all around Mount Rushmore.

I found this makeshift museum dedicated to the holyland tucked away in a Silverlake neighborhood. (Los Angeles CA)

"we have no future only today" a message from the youth of America.

Ashley and I went on a walk in the Marin Headlands, just north of San Francisco.

Ashley inside of an old army turret. The turrets were built along the Californian coast to defend against Japan during WWII.

Ivan by a highway in Central California.
